    Janet, have you tried a FODMAP elimination/reintroduction diet? That might help. Also, digestive enzymes and probiotics. Those can also be really helpful. Kombucha is actually fermented with yeast and not bacteria, so it's a different kind of probiotic than yogurt or kefir. There's a really nice coconut kefir you could try. Can't remember the brand, but there are a few vegan kefirs.

    I've discovered that IBS can develop, or worsen, on a vegan diet because of all the short-chain carbohydrates being consumed. Check out The Wild Gut Project for some great information if you're interested.

    Good video except as the other comments have said there's too much processed products maybe that could be causing her kidney and IBS issues. Whole plants foods is the best way to go vegan that's how I do it. Processed products could also cause kidney and IBS issues with Maddie in the future so I would change to WFPB.

    You mentioned your kidneys. I don't know what the issue is, but my hubby has Chronic Kidney Disease and potatoes are his kryptonite. If you have CKD….try avoiding the potatoes and see if that helps. I hope that I am wrong and that your problem is a different issue because I don't wish that on anyone.

    I dont like sweet food for breakfast either. And ever since you all mentioned it, I have been craving bagels. I dont like the store bought kind. There is only two places I like them from in San Antonio and neither are close to me so I would literally HAVE to be on that side of town to buy them. Everything bagels are my favorite and I havent had one since the beginning of 2018 ☹

    That salad is something I make at least three times a week. I just love tomatoes, cucumbers (Kirby’s are my most very favorite) and onions in a vinaigrette dressing. Mmmm, my mouth is watering. Definitely adding the peas to my next batch.
